As Apple gains in market share and games get released for the ever more powerful Mac, it would make sense that a Panther XL user would want to game on a Mac. The version3 PXL shows up in OSX but no built in joystick config utilities in OSX. A few 3rd party apps exist including one or more that seem to add
keyboard and mouse emulation to a USB joystick but have not been tested as of yet.
Using a Panther XL ver3 in keystick mode would be simplest way to go, however when I tried the first ver3's in Keystick mode on my Hackentosh it did not work. OSX gave an error that it keyboard layout was not recognized and asked me to hit keys in order to learn the non-standard keyboard.
With the latest firmware we have moved to what should be standard HID Keyboard support and therefore support in any HID able OS !
I tested the latest firmware and indeed OSX see's the ver3 in keystick mode as a standard 104 key USB keyboard and uses it in applications and games ! I was able to play Call of Duty 4 with my Hackentosh using the ver3 in keystick mode ! Worked GREAT !
