Loving my V3 XL!!

Well I have gotten addicted to FarCry 2. I love playing it with my XL.. Do not get me started on L4D2... L4D can use it as an analog joystick which is great since the stick can walk or run. FarCry 2 only works in KeyStick mode as the game does not support analog. I setup a custon profile for it and can quickly switch between modes. I use DropBox to store the XL config apps and my saved config files. That way I have them on all my computers... I guess it could be used for save game data too..… Continue

Site Updates, Store Closed....

I moved many of the static pages to MobileMe and linked from here, all was good until I added a domain to the mobleme site and all the links got broken. I have fixed all the links... XIM2/Halo3 Updates:

Been playing a lot of Halo 3 of late on the Xbox 360 with the XIM+WinXP Laptop+Panther XL USB ver3. I found out that by default the MX518 runs at 800 DPI and the XIM2 configs I was using were setup for the mouse to be running at 1800 DPI. Using the software for the Logitech MX518 I was able to set the defaults from 1800, 800, 400 to 1850, 1800, 1750 so the middle position that the mouse runs in without selecting the on the fly buttons is 1800. XIM2 Review:

Short and sweet version here, both the Ver2 and Ver3 can be used to play Xbox 360 Games with the XIM2 and Host PC...... Not yet working as good as a PXL with Keyboard emulation in games without support. Much work needed but I'm on it ! Keystick Mode on OSX

As Apple gains in market share and games get released for the ever more powerful Mac, it would make sense that a Panther XL user would want to game on a Mac. The version3 PXL shows up in OSX but no built in joystick config utilities in OSX. I'm baaaack !

What a crazy couple of weeks, real life has again kicked my ass and kept me AFK for way to long. I'm back and in the lab working on mods again. All the Xmas ver3's have shipped in got to the owners before Xmas. I have been testing the ver3 in Vista 64 and it works as planned, Halo2 under vista and keystick works well. MADCATZ XBOX 360 & PC/COMPUTER USB ARCADE JOYSTICK

Hey folks I thought I'd post this for anyone who might be interested. There are Games for windows that have X-Box 360 support but there is only one of these controllers that works with windows natively and its a gamepad. Panther XL for Xbox 360

The headline makes this sound easier than it is, I don't think we will ever see a plug and play Panther XL for the Xbox. However, using the XIM2 product and a USB Panther XL (ver1,2 or 3) and a computer to control/manage the inputs, it looks like FPS's on the Xbox 360 with a Panther XL are possible ! X-Box 360 arcade joystick controller

I dont know if anyone is interested in this or not but there is an X-Box arcade joystick controller made by Madcatz on E-Bay right now. This is not a PC version but if you play X-Box at all or if you are interested in playing some of the "games for windows" which have X-Box 360 control support only and want a Joystick controller this might be for you.
