Thanks for the invite Steveo, will check it out periodically. Gotta go back to work for now, it's lunch time and I checked my e-mail for once during the day (that's a miracle)..

Thanks for extending an invite, Steveo. You've modded several of my PXL's so we go back quite a few years. Still a die-hard user. Glad you set up this site. Have a great holiday season.

Cool...now that I've got a lot of time, and I'm bored, and I've got a lot of time...and..well you get the idea, I've finally got an outlet. =)

I see a lot of "I go way back...remember me from..." type posts here, so thought I'd bring up this: My review of the PXL on Tweak3d.net.

I wrote that way.....way...WAY back in February 1999. Nearly 10 years ago now....wow.

Anybody else that's been doing this, that long, starting to feel old as well? How much has happened to you in that time? Here's a very, very brief run down of my life, in no particular order:
wife lost her step-dad, Leo, to cancer
wife & I lost our little dog, Abbey, to cancer
my brother & his wife lost a daughter to a horrible illness
my wife lost her uncle, Bob, to old age. He was her "dad" before Leo came along
my wife worked her ass off so I could go to school
thanks to that, I got a degree in computer science at age of 33....btw, I worked my ass off as well, and got that Bachelor's degree in only 3 years. I could have gotten it sooner, but, unfortunately 3 of those tragic moments in our live occured back, to back, to back in a span of 22 days. I finished that semester with 2 A's, 2 B's, and 1 F. I figured I'd let one suffer, and concentrate on the rest. Maybe 5 courses that semester was a bit too much?
we moved outta the apartment we lived in when I started "Panther gaming" and bought our first house
we sold that house when I graduated and we moved from middle TN to north AL to accept a job
bought a new house
lost our 15 year old cat, Bugsey, to old age...we've been married almost 17....so she was with us nearly from the beginning, :(
I found a new love in my life: motorcycling.
I got Mrs. wild (aka critterchick) involved as well...she got her license & a bike of her own
I got into a wreck when some woman decided she wanted her lane more than me...and for the life of me, I don't know how I survived....but I did with relatively minor injuries
bought another bike, fixed it up almost identical, plan was to give it to wife and sell hers & buy me yet another
...then we decided to move to the great white north, north to Alaska, going north, the rush is on
...and here we are.

Been here for about 6 weeks now, so far, love it. A bit chilly at times if caught unprepared. Luckily, I'm a geek, through & through, so I spend my days in front of PCs....no need to be out in the weather. If anybody has ever wondered if a "college education" is worth it....YES, you have NO IDEA the doors it will open, especially a technical one.

Anyways, enough ranting from an old man (in gaming years, hehehe).

Y'all be careful out there. Somewhere, a young punk has a frag with your name on it.
